As both of the Huawei E5787 and Aircard 810s are in the similar price, most people would be confused in choosing a LTE mobile hotspot cause most of us don’t know much about the technology. Price is close, the decision will mainly depends on the features of the product. Now, let’s do a detailed comparison about the E5787 and 810S and you will know the difference between them easily.
Both of the E5787 and Aircard 810s are equipped with a 2.4 inches touch screen which provide an easy for users to configure the setting by touching the screen without logging on the WEBGUI.
At the dimension side, there are so close, the E5787 is sized 109.00mm x 58.00mm x 7.50mm, which the 810S is dimensioned 155g 112 mm x 68.6 mm x 15.45 mm.
However, there are also slight difference between them. As you can see, both of the them could support inserting external antenna, both are with TS9 connectors.
But the slots are separated for the 810S. For the USB slot, the 810s is equipped with USB 3.0 port which is faster than the USB 2.0 port of E5787.

Aircard 810S is a 4G LTE Advanced Category 11 (Cat 11) router which supports download speed up to 600Mbps. E5787 is a LTE Cat6 router which only supports download speed up to 300Mbps. And they don’t work in the same network frequencies. There are Aircard 810S and Aircard 810 version. The 810S supports 4G LTE FDD 700/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz with 3 Band CA (FDD 700, 1800, 2600Mhz). And the Aircard 810 supports FDD 800/900/1800/2100/2600 MHz and TDD 2300/2600Mhz.
Like all other Huawei 4G hotspots, there are different versions with different bands.

Both of the 810s and E5787 support the Wi-Fi of course. The E5787 supports 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz, but the 810s could provide supporting for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz at the same time.
The 810s has the Wi-Fi extender feature which allows you to use your Wi-Fi connection as your primary connection to save your data volume. This is impossible at E5787.

Both of the battery are exchangeable. The battery capacity of 810s is 2930mAh, and the E5787 has 3000mAh. Both of them have the power bank function which enables users to charge other mobile devices.
So in the end, which device is better one, E5787 or 810s? Both of them are better than most of the device in the market at the aspect of Wi-Fi performance, signal reception and easy-to-use design. However, on the connection side, the 810s would be a bit better than the E5787 because the Wi-Fi extender, and fast LTE CAT11 modem. It provides faster surfing speed than E5787. If you care more about the speed, you could take their upgraded version Huawei E5788 and Nighthawk MiFi M1 into consideration as both of them are the fastest Mi-Fi right now.
