Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 Antenna

Nighthawk M1 mobile router is the first 1Gbps mobile hotspot from Netgear. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X16 LTE chipset which could achieve download speeds of up to 1000Mbps through 4-band carrier aggregation. It has d 4×4 MIMO built-in antennas which 4×4 MIMO can provide +100% speeds comparing to current mainstream 2×2 MIMO. Beside, M1 also has two TS-9 antenna slots for inserting external antenna.
When use an external antenna?
All of us want to surf online with fast and uninterrupted internet. However, If you’re in a rural, hilly, low signal area, or you can’t get a good signal indoors there’s no need to tear your hair out over slow mobile broadband crashing or dropping out half way. Then an external antenna is required. Here are some recommend 4G LTE external antenna for you.

Recommended external antenna for M1
The Nighthawk M1 Hotspot has two antenna ports as pictured. You can connect an antenna to one or both slots. Connecting 2 Antennas (1 to each port) may help give a more consistent signal. It only accepts TS9 connector antenna. There are many choice for M1, look at the following recommendation.

Antenna using tips
About mounting: To be most effective, the external antenna(s) should be mounted where the cellular signal is best. This is usually near a window or outside wall – outdoors, away from under the building structure is almost always better.
About cable length: it is recommended that you don’t choose cable length longer than 10meters, because the longer the cable, the weaker the signal would increase.
